Who is this course for?

This Paediatric First Aid is for anyone who wants to or needs to gain this qualification. It is primarily aimed at those in childcare looking after children and parents.

What is this course for?

This course will give you the knowledge and skills you need to gain a qualification this is aimed to help you feel more confident when dealing with injury's associated with children

What to expect?

For some people attending new courses can be scary but we are here to help you through the process, you can expect to learn from trainers with years of experience to guide you through your qualification

​

You will find yourself in our classroom with like minded people just like yourself who want to get their qualification too, so if your feeling nervous or apprehensive don't! there will be people feeling just like you, the first step is booking your space! 

​

Our training room has plenty of FREE tea, coffee, water and biscuits to help you relax and feel comfortable. its a large bright clean learning space to help support your learning experience and our team are the best! (we think so anyway)

This is YOUR training course and we want to help you through it and support you on your way.

The course runs for 7 hours over 1 day with a break and will include the following:

·    Responsibilities of the First Aider in Early Years Settings
·    Primary Assessment
·    Secondary Assessment
·    CPR for Adults, Children and Babies
·    Seizures and Epilepsy
·    Choking
·    Asthma Hyperventilation
·    Anaphylactic Shock
·    Shock and Bleeding
·    Circulation Issues
·    Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries
·    Head Injuries
·    Burns and Scalds Including Electric Shock
·    Poisoning
·    Effects of the Heat and Cold
·    Childhood Ailments

The course will be examined with practical assessments throughout the course.

What to Bring?

  • Yourself! (Attend the course wearing comfortable loose fitting clothing that allows you to move easily)

  • Lunch - A lunch truck visits our site but we can never be sure when or what it will have so bring some lunch with you just in case.

​

  • ID - Please bring a form of ID for us to check who is who!

​

  • Notebook and Pen - Bring along a note book and pen to write down things you may need to remember.
